Emily Ratajkowski
Emily O'Hara Ratajkowski born June 7th, 1991, is an American model and actress. Born in London to American parents and was raised in San Diego, she first was featured on the cover of March's issue of the sexually explicit magazine, treats! This resulted in her being featured in two music videos - Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" (the top-rated song of 2013 in several countries) as well as Maroon 5's "Love Someone". Ratajkowski was featured on the cover of the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated in 2015 and 2014. In 2015 she made her runway debut modeling alongside Marc Jacobs in New York Fashion Week. She has since walked the Paris Fashion Week runway for Miu Miu, Dolce & Gabbana and Versace runways. Ratajkowski was included in a Buick Super Bowl commercial (2016) and since become the spokesperson of brands like DKNY and The Frye Company as well as Kerastase and Paco Rabanne. Ratajkowski was an actor in San Diego when she was young. Then, she became a recurring part on Nickelodeon's iCarly series (2009-2010). In 2014, she made her debut in a feature film as Ben Affleck's mistress in Gone Girl. Her other roles that she's played include Entourage (2015). We Are Your Friends (2015). I Feel Pretty (2018). Welcome Home (2018). Miniseries The Spoils Before Dying (2015). Anthology series Easy (2016). Ratajkowski is an advocate for Planned Parenthood, is a strong advocate for women's healthcare issues. She is a self-identified feminist, and has been criticised for her opinions regarding sexual expression. Ratajkowski was exposed to nude female figures in art and photography during her childhood, including by her father's work as well as the photographs of Helmut Newton, Herb Ritts and Herb Ritts. This exposure prepared her for nude work. She's said "We have this culture of males, particularly watching porn, but they are offended by a classic nude portrait or photograph but I've never felt this way." Her work was also influenced and influenced in part by third-wave feminist thought and work such as The Beauty Myth and Promiscuities of Naomi Wolf.
